Milieu Surveys take all forms of account fraud seriously.
Fraud risk is constantly evolving as scammers continue to devise more sophisticated means of defrauding the public. This includes new approaches of tricking account holders into revealing their personal details or installing malware on their devices.
Scammers may also illegally reach out to individuals and impersonate Milieu Surveys through various platforms; messaging tools such as Whatsapp, Telegram, and/or social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tiktok, and Threads.
What do you need to know?
First and foremost, please be aware that Milieu will never contact you via Whatsapp or Telegram. Our main communication channels with our community will be via the Milieu Surveys app and email. We do, from time to time, send links to participate in browser-based surveys outside of the Milieu Surveys app. Invites to such surveys will always be sent from our official email domain and will only ever be sent to the email address you used to register in the app.
What should you do?
- Be informed that Milieu Surveys will NEVER request payment or money transfers in exchange for rewards and/or surveys/tasks
- Milieu Surveys will ONLY contact you through the official Milieu Surveys iOS and Google Play mobile app or via email from our official email domain (@mili.eu)
- Be cautious of any SMS or message you receive on messaging apps, such as iMessage, Whatsapp or Telegram, from someone you don't know requesting you to participate in a survey
- If you are ever contacted by an individual you suspect to be a scammer, DO NOT share personal information or engage with these individuals. When in doubt you can Contact Us with screenshots/documents that you suspect may be a scammer impersonating Milieu
Please DO NOT share any personal information or engage with these individuals in any way. If you encounter any suspicious numbers or messages, we strongly encourage you to report them immediately.
The public is advised to be extra vigilant in safeguarding their personal information and downloading files or applications from unverified sources onto mobile devices. Users of the Milieu Surveys app also have an important role to keep themselves informed of emerging threats through legitimate sources and local authorities, and taking precautions to protect themselves.
